Specialist Communication Support
- Access to British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters, Deafblind intervenors and speech-to-text services.
- Support with communication aids: hearing loops, screen readers, braille devices, etc.
- Staff can be trained in Makaton, BSL, deafblind manual alphabet or tactile communication techniques.
Specialist Health & Therapy Services
Referrals to:
- Sensory impairment specialists (e.g., Hearing or Vision Support Teams).
- Occupational therapists to maximise safe daily functioning.
- Orientation & mobility specialists (e.g., cane or guide dog training).
Independent Living Skills Training
